    munch

super funny: just the other day, masterfoods usa, owner of the m&m brand, offered 2 million dark chocolate m&m’s for the return of edvard munch’s painting ‘the scream.’ as it turns out, it was announced just today that police in oslo have recovered the painting. the oslo police must have ~really~ wanted some (admittedly crappy) [...]

    trolley

supermarket art carts rule. unless you’re british (or canadian?)… then trolley carts rule.

    sods

annalee newitz over at the san francisco bay guardian seems a little pissed that she didn’t go to the super fantastic opening night screening of snakes on a plane (see my flickr entry from a couple days ago). i think it’s funny that she thinks the screening was some sinister marketing ploy by the studio, when it [...]

    fx

here’s a really interesting article about how movie stars are losing their monetary appeal. instead, boxofficeguru.com editor gitesh pandya advises hollywood that “the real stars are the special effects artists. those are the guys worth paying money for.” thanks, gitesh! i hope hollywood listens.

    mother*&#^ing

i’m testing out my flickr feed with this picture from the suspension of disbelief society’s 50th screening. the open bar and alicia’s cardboard airplane guaranteed that i would enjoy every second of it, even though i might not remember most of it.

    flat

i have to admit, i’m sort of excited about the idea of flatland the movie. it makes me want to read the book again.

    greenscreen

the huffington post observes how stephen colbert is commandeering the web with his greenscreen challenge. all’s i know is that i’m going to vote for stewart/colbert in 2008.

    lemonade

itchy and scratchy tom and jerry will be allowed to use dynamite against each other, but for children in britain,  smoking cigarettes are violent enough to be edited out.
