    sad news – it appears that arthur magazine may have put out its last issue. i send good thoughts in jay’s direction and will continue to hope that it can pull a lazurus.

    we just felt another quake today of the same magnitude and the same epicenter as a series of quakes that happened on the hayward fault right before christmas last year. this got me to looking up information on foreshocks and i found this great earthquake faq from the usgs.gov site. there’s a whole lotta shakin’ [...]

    theremin tracks Originally uploaded by lorelei. we wrapped up our recording for the next album last saturday at the magic shop. i had to lay down a couple more theremin tracks, steve had a few percussion bits to finish up and josh added a few final touches. next step: final mixdown

    michael sent me this really interesting read about matthieu ricard, former scientist and current monk, now the dalai lama’s right-hand-man. neuroscientists have tested him and have concluded that he is the happiest person they’ve ever tested. not a bad score, really.
