    potato

lately i’ve been mentally travelling through these good ol’ united states of america for a script i’ve been inspired to write. i gotta admit, battle mountain was pretty hilarious and wonderful. now i’ve now stumbled upon the most awesome list of 6 things i didn’t know about idaho. oh… those poor geese.

    armpit

i was recently thinking of a billboard i saw during a cross country road trip in 2004. it had a picture of the statue of liberty and it was shot from a low angle, so you were looking up at her from just below her underarm. the text read: “battle mountain, nevada. the armpit of [...]

    trunk

here’s some more furniture to add to my luggage fetish. a fold-away office that’s packed away into an oversized steamer trunk. i think michael is grateful that i don’t have $4k to blow on this thing. i’m sure it doesn’t fit in the house, but… i would find a way. (link via treehugger)

    argonaut

thanks to gizmodo for pointing this out, here’s a great little video that chronicles 100 years of visual effects. you should check it out!

    COLBERT

while listening to somafm’s mission control, i was cracking up when they started talking about moving the COLBERT treadmill. i had totally forgotten all about that stunt! (and of course, any mention of the colbert report brings back fond memories of being a guest in their audience for this piece that some cow-orkers and i [...]
