i saw finding nemo last night. i'm a little surprised to report that i even saw it... with kids! unfortunately, since it was the 9:30pm screening, the kids were pretty wiped out by the end of the movie, but who cares what they thought? i had a great time! go see it! sit through all the credits and cheer when steve bloom's name comes up (you can find him in the 'pixar shorts' category).

i was telling angela about how i was going to check out the hot springs in japan and she forwarded me this link about the hot tubbing monkeys. as she pointed out, the rules for monkey interaction are particularly humorous (don't look them in the eyes!!)

get yer stoner name. get your stoner name here. you can call me fanatical jointfiend (link provided by pete. aka mighty mango dopefiend)

scamorama.com tracks all those scam spams from nigerian prison camps requesting your help and money. here's one particularly funny correspondence between the scammer and someone who wanted to scam the scammer (he actually got 3 bucks out of it!). it starts getting pretty humorous once the nigerian correspondent starts calling his pen pal 'daddy'

there seems to be not much else to do in winnipeg except to wait for an outbreak of sars. maybe instead, they'll just throw a ceremony honoring homer simpson as an honorary citizen of winnipeg. (link via steve)

i'm back from the dead!! hello. hello.

we wrapped our work on the hulk last week. i was working grueling 65 hour work weeks and spending my nights sleeping in our viewstations. now that it's finally over, my body has decided to take revenge and i'm currently nursing some sort of immune system failure. more tea, please.

on the plus side, i'm spending all the sick time in bed planning for my long-awaited, hard-earned vacation. if anyone has any suggestions for what a gal can do in japan, let me know! so far, it looks like i'm going to be spending most of my time in tokyo and kyoto. (i think i just like those y's and o's.)

patrick sent me this link of weight watchers recipes from the 50's. the comedy you expect is definitely there.

this international dialing site is super-useful. trust me.
