folks at work are in a frenzy trying to figure out who will come out of the closet on the simpsons. i think it would be hilarious and beyond if it turns out to be burns.

steve forwarded the latest news on u.s. smart cars. the plan to market it with the hummer is incredibly disturbing. trying to promote gas efficiency as a companion to high gas usage is the stupidest thing i've heard since florida 2000.

the black eyed peas are making a valiant attempt to get the first tagalog song to be featured on mtv's total request live. that would be pretty damn fantabulous.

per corey's suggestion, i went and checked out the illustration art at the catherine clark gallery. i was surprised to discover that chris ware and art spiegelman also had work in the exhibit. you should also check out the project room, which has a mesmerizing and funny video piece. all of the exhibit was really tasty to the eyes.

salon tackles the daunting subject of everything you were afraid to ask about donnie darko. (registration required)

i normally don't link to the onion, and this is over a week old, but so many people kept forwarding this to me because i worked on the first movie. also, i wanted to share because it's super friggin' funny. it begs the burning question: why no one want make hulk 2?

mmmm... simpsons math (link via jory)

last weekend was the spectacular event of josh and gizi's wedding. the bride was glowing and the groom was stunned by her beauty. i couldn't have imagined a more perfect ceremony for the two of them.

i just bought the spine and like all the other they might be giants albums, it makes me grin from ear to ear. the fact that they also have a homestar runner video is added excitement on many fronts. (link from many, many friends)

this is definitely the funniest ipod accessory i've ever seen. now i'm tempted to make an ipod case out of one of my portable turntables.

i want to give a shout out to omz and lorna velasco, for a beautiful wedding ceremony and a fantastic wedding reception. there were so many moments throughout the day when i was overwhelmed by just how happy everyone was... and man... if there's one thing i can say about a filipino party - there's no possible way that anyone can finish all that food. everything from turrones, puto, lechon (and i don't even eat pig! especially when it's the whole goddamned pig, looking at me in the eye), pancit, lumpia and even san miguel beer. ito ang beer!

i think that the photo editor for the latest victoria's secret catalog might need glasses... or maybe even a new job.

steve forwarded me this link of eddie izzard in a greenpeace uk commercial.

i just found out that dan has also written about that day that we all took acid at disneyland. read his version here. my version, which i wrote back in 2000, can be found in the column to your right under 'disneyland' - it's near the bottom of the list. please note that our accounts don't exactly match as far as sequential time goes. funny things happen to time when you're tripping. there's something funny (both peculiar and haha) about the international federation of competitive eating's seal.

here's some good nerd reading about airport identifier codes.
