terry gross interviews country singer/songwriter billy joe shaver. his life story is pretty incredible and his memories of johnny cash and willie nelson are heartfelt.

meanwhile, daniel clowes talks about film editing.

i'm digging the art of luke chueh. i can't help it.

the island is probably one of the most derivative movies that i've seen in years. with that said, i worked on it and it comes out next friday the 22nd. so there.

hey all! i'm back from the land-where-nobody-speaks-english! it was an incredibly fantastic time and boggled the mind. unfortunately, while i was at the great wall of china, i missed danny way leaping the great wall on his skateboard.

but i apparently didn't miss chris cunningham's rubber johnny. (link via michael)
